The old and beautiful southern Oregon bike path - which ran alongside a beautiful creek and through forested areas, and spanned many miles between small towns and cities - has been largely obliterated in the recent wildfires. The rebuilding - and reforestation - will happen but may take years. Fortunately, in the interim, there is a veritable warren of small country lanes and roads which bisect and bifurcate the farms and rural spaces here. And even more fortunately, the formerly heavy pall of smoke from fires has now dissipated, and the air is clean enough for cycling again---

As a side note, my small G1X mark iii has been underused as of late, it's compact enough to be more than semi-pocketable in a cycling jersey; I'd almost forgotten how much I like this little Canon. Almost....but not quite :)
