This was taken in the late afternoon, as I was riding my motor scooter back from shopping and stopped alongside one of the burned-out areas, from the recent wildfire. This close detail is what was once the metal suspension system on a trailer that held a metal boat - all of which were burned during the conflagaration. Now it has become almost an abstract metal sculpture, in an outdoor non-gallery space which reminds me both of what was lost, and, perhaps, what may come again.
