When I was at Brown, there was a program on the IBM 3081 mainframe that simulated a 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 Rubik’s hypercube. It displayed a set of regular Rubik’s cubes that were coupled together and changed in unison to project the effects of rotating one “side” of the 4D cube. Not surprisingly, I failed to solve it.

My cat was marginally interested and only mildly miffed at the sight of my new 16-80 taking his picture.

We are experiencing unseasonably warm weather in Oregon at the beginning of October - in the high 80's (fahrenheit) - yet another proof, if there were any doubt, that climate change is real.

But, in spite of the heat, Pee Wee is enjoying the fresh air.
