A side note: I haven't used my G1x Mk III for awhile - and had honestly forgotten the stellar nature of the image files which this tiny little semi-pocketable Canon produces. It really 'delivers'.

Totally coincidentally, I took the G1 X III out today as well for my second walk - and, completely unexpectedly, really had a blast. Whatever you want to hold against it, its results speak for themselves (at least as long as you don't pixel peep - but that hardly ever helps). And I like using it, too ...
The bridge plate has been glued and is used for alignment as one of the x-braces is glued in place. The second x-brace is held in place as a second alignment aid.
