Daily Challenge Day to Day 148

Walter's number can be counted with two hands. At my age quality of the few *really important* ones wins over quantity (of quite often rather superficial crowds).
Even tens of thousands of virtual friends and followers can't make up for one *true* friend.

A cold day outside here in Oregon, a good day to stay warm, inside.

I found myself wandering about the house, in between espressi.

And one of the things I appreciate the most about my diminutive X30 is its ability to get in close to certain subjects - aka the so-called Macro Modes. Smaller-sensored compact cameras tend to be better at this, and my all-time favorite in the day-to-day ability to shoot close-up, was my late (and still occasionally lamented) LX7, a truly fine little camera. My old GRDiii was quite good in this area, too, but all things considered, the X30 beats them both. (Which, for me, is saying a lot.)

This small footed-egg-person sits close to my writing desk... 'a good egg in the long run', as older Brits used to say.
