Some progress on the CNC front. I'm one step closer to milling the first part for my guitar project. Yesterday evening I ran a test script that engraves a small relief carving of a dragon. I think I had the cutter just a smidgeon too shallow, but at least the process works. I also learned what happens if one forgets to disable the Windows screen saver . . . it terminates the carving process, hence the partial carving on the left side. I've been unable to get the CNC control software to operate under Linux, which is why I'm using an old Windows laptop.
