The excess finishing resin has been scraped from the back of the ukulele body, and the back sanded all the way back to bare wood. A light wash coat of shellac was rubbed in to check for any places I might have missed. A second coat of finishing resin has been applied to one of the ukulele sides, and the whole thing set aside to cure overnight.

This was taken late yesterday but only processed early this morning. In the garden behind my house, a number of leek plants are flowering - and to my untutored eye, looking more and more like alien visitors from a neighboring galaxy. This one, in particular - in the rays of the setting sun - caught my eye.

As a brief side note, the X30's 'classic chrome' in-camera jpeg setting keeps growing on me, with its palette and rendition of colours.
