Sometimes in my zeal to finish a project, I make what I call "unforced errors". This is one such occasion. When I began preparing the ukulele peghead to fit the tuners, I discovered one side was uneven and not parallel with the other. Out came the sanding block and calipers, to flatten the right side of the peghead and to measure to ensure evenness - rather than just eyeballing it. Now I have to blend the new shellac into the old.

Taking this picture reminded me, again, of why I like small-sensor cameras (close focusing abilities) and why I like the X30's small-but-quite-usable EVF (for actually being able to really see what I am focusing on).
