This was interesting. - My favourite raw file convertor, Capture One Pro 23, wouldn't recognise the RW2 file. Not exactly a huge disaster, as I always intended to run it through DxO PureRAW 3 first for lens correction purposes, which I did, before importing the resulting DNG file into Capture One.

Then straightened the horizon. This rendered the horizon outside the borders of the image and so I made certain that the lighthouse was vertical (or close to vertical). Corrected the White Balance using the lighthouse as a reference point and added a bit of Saturation. Finally fiddled around with Highlight Recovery, Shadow Recovery and added in some additional Contrast.

Although it was on my birthday the weather wasn't kind as it was a bit of a miserable day with drizzle and 35 knot winds. Even though the FZ330 brightened up the image further processing would improve on the gloom. You've all improved the image in one way or another from realistic edits to letting your imagination run wild and I like them all.

Whilst the image lacked a kitchen sink I liked the sea, the lighthouse and the cliffs so my preferences were for those that retained them. The challenge then was to sort out the colours and my top three is :-

Joint runners up - @griffljg #2 & @Irene McC - Having said that I liked the full image, I like the crop and the different takes on brightening up the day
Winner - @Herbert Hound #1 - I like the minimal crop image and whilst I prefer the colours in your #2 submission I like the way the different types of rock in the cliff face are highlighted.

Congratulations and over to you, Colin (y)

My attempt
