Thank you. I did not want to "not compete" for the reason you mention. Yet I find that when I happen to win, I don't make a good host (poor at providing a reasonable image as well as at judging), thus lowering the standard of the Challenge.

Rashid, I have exactly the same problem. I have the choice of going further and further back into my archives, or choosing something fairly recent which is not really suitable. Like right now!

My problem, Larry, is that for different reasons I've been mostly home-bound for about 8 years now so I have virtually no new photos, and most of my old ones are of bugs and birds and the like. And my vision is bad (debating weather at my age it would be worthwhile to get cataract surgery) so it is hard for me to make a meaningful selection of the winners I don't like to post non-competing entries as long as there are only few other entries and I always assume that the chances of my winning are low, and perhaps being a bad host is worth the risk. Thanks again for your kind comments.
