This is Digital Darkroom Derby #46, a digital image editing/processing challenge.

Experimenting with DxO PL5, so thought this was a good opportunity to play.

Cropped to reduce sky and move large cloud from being centre of the image. Reduced highlights and lightened shadows. Tried a bit of local adjustment on the rocks to lighten the dark shadows.

Had fun with this one. Edited raw file in DxO PL5 the tweaked it in Elements. Used clone stamp and content aware fill liberally (and perhaps not carefully enough).

I often use an older version of ON1 Effects which is available free: it also many useful filters and very easy to use-- I use it as a plug-in in PS Elements:

Entry #2: Applied "HDR Look" (ON1 Effects 10) then "Curves" (Nik Color Efex) to entry #1. Edited entry: noticed that the shadow of the bench indicated that the photo might have been taken later in the day, so I used Nik Color Efex to make the image a bit warmer.

Raw file processed through DxO PL5: straighten, crop, remove flare, lift shadows, slightly warmer.
Tweaks in Gimp/Nik/G'mic: local contrast, curves, and chroma adjustments (increase warmth and saturation).

Adobe ACR and Photoshop CS6The sky was a little too busy for my taste (given the amount of detail below the horizon), so I just cleared the sky and painted in a few clouds. Tweaked colors and contrast with Topaz Clarity and Nik Color Efex Pro. And leveled the horizon.

Black and white in Nil.

Think I've overdone it as there is some ghosting in parts, but perhaps could be explained away by light shimmering on the water? "-)
