I'd be tempted if I wasnt so antagonistic about Amazon, generally. The other thing of course is that Amazon won't ship to Australia so we have to go through a third party purchaser in the US, which then adds to the cost.

Don't feel too bad Sue, they won't even ship to Canadians. The easiest retailer, as far as shipping and customs goes - for me - has been B & H Photo - they have a nice setup for Canadians with low cost shipping and prepaid customs duty if applicable. Makes it entirely too easy to spend.

This year I set up a U.S. address with a freight receiver just across the border, about 40 minutes from me. It costs a couple bucks per package at $13 a year, not sure why I didn't do this earlier.
