My friend showed me a photo of his Cosyspeed finger loop on his GF9. I had recently obtained a used PEN E-PM2 and attached a big SLR wrist strap to it. Way too big. So, I wondered how to duplicate his finger loop with the OpTech parts I had. I had a Mini QD anchor and strap clip, but even that was too long. So, I just looped a velcro cable tie through the strap lug ring and that works great. Velcro cable ties are easy to find and cheap. Adjustable yet very strong. See new photos.

Just made a finger loop for my EM5.3 too. Much less bulky than the previous wrist strap and secures the camera in the hand very well. It's a winner! The OpTech QD anchor on the left strap lug is for attaching the camera to an OpTech sling.

Update: I found out what was causing that odd "reflection" in my iPhone photos, especially the first one. Turns out that a camera cover that I got with the screen protector kit had been impacted and the cover glass was cracked. The "reflection" was light being reflected from the broken edge. Removed the cover and the cameras are fine. Whew.

Interesting bit of lightweight kit, that!

I have been "splitting" my wriststraps between the PD, of which I have two, and those tiny things that used come along with the P&Ss of yesteryear. Mostly deciding which get which, depending on size of the camera. IOW, the EM5s and larger models get PD wriststraps, which I am not entirely sure that I like.

I will see if I can wrangle up some sort of finger loop. I really like the idea!

I have both a pm1 and a pm2, which I value for size weight and slipperiness for when I pack them ina waist pack or large pocket. But they are like holding a bar of wet soap when I use them. I use a small wrist strap with the pm1 but your thumb loop looks great, I’m going to cobble something together and give that a try!

Agreed. The PM1 would definitely be slippery, and the PM2 is a little better. But, the loop makes holding and carrying them much more reliable. Depends on your hand, but I find the loop is perfect for my middle finger, leaving my thumb and index finger to work the shutter and controls. One could make a paracord loop, but the velcro one is easily adjusted and doesn't get in the way of your other fingers.
