Fuji Does Fuji F2.0 lense capable of giving greater DOF compared with nikkor prime lense?

Fujifilm's announcement of X10 later X20 is a great initiative for low-budget photographers like who can't afford to buy bag of great lenses and big sensor cameras.I have been checking the photos taken with X10 in flickr for couple of months to know the range of that camera,as X20 is better than it then i can rely on X20 also.Night shots and natural lights are beautifully responded with X10 but i doubt about the portraits with greater DOF except 1cm super macro shots.Can anyone tell me that fujinon F2.0-F2.8 lenses are made in this style to create shallower depth of field compared with canon or nikkor lenses or there is any other techniques to get greater DOF with X10/X20?

It's possible, but only on the macro and telephoto ends... and you still wouldn't be getting the same kind of subject isolation as even a APS-C sized sensor. These are from shooting at the 112mm equivalent, at f2.8. You would be able to achieve even shallower DOF by cropping in tighter (say, a headshot).
