Fuji Dogs 14mm

Steve B.

Regular
Today with the 14mm approximately 5:30 PM. The poor dogs only got 2 hours out there today because I had to go check on Dad. We usually go for 5-6 hours on Sat. and Sun. They aren't real happy right now. :D I didn't have the heart to make them pose for a bunch of photos. They wanted to get busy...... The two color ones are just camera files converted to JPEG. All are at F2.8. Here is a review from a person who actually knows who to use a camera.

Just get it! (Fujinon XF 14mm F2.8)

It's a difficult lens for someone who isn't good at taking pictures like me to use. That said, I am extremely happy with it and would buy it again in a heartbeat. Couldn't be happier.

Here are four with the 14 I took Friday/Saturday. Given the cost of the lens I hoped to be able to use it more, but that will have to wait until we get Dad home. The lens will focus to something like 7 or 8 inches but you have to work really hard/contort yourself to keep your shadow out of the frame......:D

I agree the car shot shows off the lens. It's also simply a cool shot.

In all the dog shots the lens renders beautifully. You seem to be getting very comfortable with the 14.

Forgot this one

Really nice - I enjoyed all of the dog photos, but this one is my favorite. Great close feel in part because of the perspective compared to the second dog in the background but at the same time a very natural perspective of the subject that doesn't scream ultrawide.

Forgot this one

I like this one a lot. Taking place in a bit of a clearing really exposes the dog, and focuses attention on the main subject. yet you have captured the environment, and of course Stanley parked in the background keeping an eye on things.

Colours are great too.

Wow, great pics as always. Five hour walks? Little B is lucky if he gets a whole hour! I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with my X Pro 1 as I don't get many keepers from any of the three lenses lately. I get a green confirm focus box but mostly the pic is actually out of focus. I wonder if the last update has messed up :(

Dogs Friday AM. Unlike your humble narrator, they aren't real thrilled with the 14mm. I'm asking them to stop too much.
