She did get her bath and is very fluffy and cuddly now.

Ziggy jumped down a metre and a half, to two metres into this disgusting weed filled wetland area, from the hide "window". We were worried it was too thick to swim through, but somehow she made it through, scrambled over dried raupo, then swam through more weed filled water, and got close enough to be grabbed and lifted up onto the boardwalk! A bit frightening .....

Animals are unable to tell that there is water beneath what appears (to them) a solid surface. Our dog has jumped into a pond covered in duckweed, and I witnessed a cat do the same thing. I was able to quickly haul our dog out, and the cat scooted out as though it had a rocket up it's backside!

Yes - I wondered if she thought it was solid, as my dog ran out onto weed twice when he was little. But seemed to remember after the second time, and hasn't done it again.

Neither of us fancied having to get in a rescue her, as the weed was so thick, and there's usually horrible black silty mud at the bottom, and eels! Would you believe she jumped out the car window not long after. Had her lead on, but luckily slipped her collar, and the car was not moving, and she was unhurt.

Thank you, I do try for better and she does try for worse
(every time I point my camera at her she's like a paparazzi victim). I can't wait for summer sunset light to hit through the kitchen and bounce off the floor and turn the room into a spectacle of portrait beauty for her.PS. She's the reason for my inspiration and desire to do (hopefully paid) pet portrait photography ... if I wasn't so broke to afford the free time to do it that is
