Rest in peace Tilly. A traumatic day today. Tilly's owner called me early evening to tell me Tilly had chased a rabbit on to the railway and was hit by a train.
Tonight I buried her. Tilly was an accident waiting to happen ! A true terrier. A lovely little girl I looked after when required, and a friend to Buster and Taz.
It was a real privilege to have been a part of her life.

I have just realised how many pictures I have of young Tilly

Garry, I am so so sorry. Since you and I have already been in touch about this, I won't write my feelings again about Tilly, the little larger that life girl who lived everyday to the fullest. Perhaps you can put together a book for your friend. At first it will be hard but cathartic...and eventually, I know it will be a treasure. My sincere condolences to you all.

well we never want to say goodbye to our furry friends, but I've got to believe that if Tilly had been given her choice, she'd probably say something to the effect of "I hope I go out chasing a rabbit". No matter how long they stay with us, it is ALWAYS too brief. Remember the good times.... and be there for your friend. Charlie and Lucy also send well wishes to Buster and Taz......lest we forget that they also lost a friend.

Oh I'm so sorry, what a lovely doggie she was. You've taken some stunning photos of her and BB is right, having a lovely book to remember her by would be a fitting tribute when the time is right. I'm sure Buster and Taz will miss her too.
