Leica Egor looks at the new M10 Monochrom

I would like to know how many bits per pixel the M10 Monochrom uses to record the image. The original CCD based M Monochrom uses 14-bits per pixel. The image recorded is amazing, the details in the shadows are recorded. I wrote my own RAW processor to convert the 14-bit values to 16-bits using a Gamma curve to pull up shadows.

The M246 uses 12-bits, as did the Kodak DCS-760M. 12-bits will produce some banding- and is a main reason why the DCS-760M did not go into wide production.

The literature from Leica does not state the bits/pixel. Hopefully, it is at least 14-bits.
