Minolta 50mm F1.4 Rokkor-PF, wide-open on the Leica M8.

Some 10 years ago I went on a kick to convert SLR lenses to RF-Coupled Leica mount. The Minolta was $30, adapter about the same.
SO- RF Coupled 50mm F1.4 lens in M-Mount for $60.

7Artisans 50mm F1.1, wide-open on the M Monochrom. Yellow filter.

This is a full-frame lens, well under $400. This is a Sonnar formula lens, similar design to the 1950s 5cm F1.1 Zunow V2 lens. In 1956, that lens sold for the same dollars as this lens does now.

Shot with the SLR Magic 35mm 1.2 lens wide open. This lens had plenty of faults but character wasn't one of them. Some of my favorite shots I've taken were with this lens.

50mm F1.2 Asph-Nokton, wide-open on the Leica M9.
This lens is very easy to focus on a moving subject.
