Facades in the sunlight

I'm new here. I'm one of the POTN expats. I've never seen a thread about this kind of light.

I've got a catalog full of stuff that looks like this. If this technique has a name, I don't know what it is, but it's way more important to my work than, say, bokeh. An open facade will take light from broad angles when nothing else around it will. It's a great tool to move a viewer's eye around the frame.

The shots below were made last Wednesday. I was out posting stuff from that trip to the Oregon coast. I have more examples, though. I'll try to space them out, try not to hog the thread. But I've got a bunch and I can't resist an audience who knows what I was looking at.
