While I don't have the camera anymore and I am enjoying a new Lumix G3, I often revisit the thousands of pictures we have taken with the S3. Here a just a few that I liked. It surprised me many times with the quality.

Thanks very much! All of my pictures are straight out of the camera (manual mode though)

PS: I used to live in Perth and Geraldton back in late 1981 - early 1982. Rest of the time in Sydney. :)

I had an S3 IS for a few years before gifting it to a niece, who still uses it to this very day. It still amazes me how fast that lens was (f2.7 to 3.5) and how highly effective its image stabilization was. An excellent compact camera in its day and still a valid option for many with great image quality.

Thanks - Manual mode, vivid, I'd have the aperture at 2.7 (lowest) always and adjust shutter speed by looking at the histogram. In this shot, I had to zoom because it was a rabbit. I was really far. Hope I helped.

Thank you!!!

I hope I can take some better pictures with my new G3 then the S3 :) So far it isn't happening, but I know all these clouds and haze will be gone soon.

Oregon has such an awesome coastline (unlike Texas). Would love to see photos of that beauty there! One of the places I really want to visit is Crater Lake! So if by any chance you are there, take a few photos!!

One thing we do is travel.
