Lighting flash

Hi, I'm trying to get continuous low going indoors ie multiple exposure via a wireless remote. The camera won't do continous low unless I push the shutter release myself. The shutter is set for 1/125. Do I need a wired remote? The camera is set for remote control mode (quick response) Am I doing something wrong. I have a wired version would change anything? Would it work outside? I don't think it makes a diff because flash off and it would only take 1 exposure.

thanks in advance.

Sorry, D7100 manual mode, single and cont. low. Tried the external flash same issues. Read somewhere about bracketing, went through the menu all seems normal. Maybe you can't do cont. mode via the remote wired or wireless. It is a Nikon wireless remote.

I just read for Canon, that a wired remote has the same features as the actual shutter button on the camera. The wire is just an extension of the actual shutter button. Need more homework, but how does that affect the flash part? I can try it and return it if it doesn't work
