In Shetland earlier this year. The middle one is a haggis supper.

The middle one - the Haggis supper - is a great shot. It's also intriguing, to say the least - since in most parts of the planet, not only is one unable to find haggis on the menu, but few outside of Scotland (and fans of Robert Burns's poetry) actually know what it is ;)

I'm curious about the 3rd photo though, which I also quite like - what is the sandwich? Could it possibly by the Coronation Chicken & Cheese White Bread of the original - but with the package opened up?

I think the few outside of Scotland who do know what the haggis is are also a little afraid of it!

The Shetland Island Deli sandwiches are great. I really wanted that sandwich to be the coronation chicken but they were sold out. It was the chicken mayonnaise and sweetcorn brown bread. Tasty enough but the coronation chicken is worth braving the overnight ferry for - without a cabin on the stormiest of nights during the harshest of winters. The chicken mayonnaise and sweetcorn brown bread one would just have to wait for calm weather.

Hi!
I'm the Original Poster of this thread "Food on the Road". My wife and I live in the United States. I was born here but my wife grew up in Jakarta Indonesia. Also Tangerang Indonesia. She has family on the Indonesian island called Batam. If you don't mind me asking, you are visiting Indonesia but what is your home country?
Enjoy your visit to Indonesia and try the lunch or dinner food called "Satay Ayam". It is white meat chicken on stick with peanut sauce. :)
