Food "On the Road"

I wonder how any of you would rank the following three:Tim Hortons. DUNKIN, and Crispy Creme? You could rate it for coffee only....or for donuts only..or rank them based on their overall businesses that offers both. I'm flexible 😉 😎
I have not been to either one of these in years but in general, we rank fast food chains by the cleanliness of their bathrooms - because often, when you are on a trip and in the middle of nowhere - that's the only option other than behind that tree... 😉

(we just do not frequent fast food joints all that often, the closest to one are some of the local Mexican "chains" we have around here for a quick Burrito or Quesadilla dinner if we are too lazy to cook.)

I am NOT a coffee person so I'll just rank the three for their donuts
1) Dunkin ( the most filling )
2) Tim Hortons ( good as well )
3) Crispy Creme ( My wife likes this one the best, but for me the donuts are too light...I can never eat just one)

Dinner in Lynchburg Virginia USA . The business is called: "MISSION BBQ"

Over a year old this image but it shows you how the diet changes for the worse when you spend 12 hour days in an office and consume this every day. Not good! I'm just fortunate my exercise regime could burn it off.

One of our field trips in high school was to see autopsies....you read that right I said high school (we were in the medical program). It was eye opening. I'll spare the details but it's the fat that you can't see that kills you. Well not entirely true carrying weight around the stomach/waist is a bad sign too.

This thread makes me hungry and my doctor mad. 😛

Wow, I attended an autopsy in high school, also, for a research project for an AP Bio class. Mine wasn’t a field trip - just me, the medical examiner, and the other guy. Definitely an eye opener! Well, for me, not for the other guy.

Totally agree, Dave.

I've got a fatty liver, but according to the blood test, normal liver function.

I guess I've got to have something working properly!

We had 3 (non-living) people when we attended the autopsy. It was one of two influential field trips for me. The other was during elementary school I had a ride along with a cop for career day. Still have that officers card somewhere, probably retired now.

@doobs , have you ever been to Willie Mae's Scotch House? I understand that's supposed to be amongst the very best. When I next visit America (in about 4 years time 🤣 ) New Orleans and that eatery in particular is on my agenda.
Have not.

It's a lunch time only place. Typically I wasn't able to get free at lunch.

The place I go to in NOLA for fried chicken is Mother's of all places. They are known for their sandwiches and stuff, but their chicken is very good and cooked to order, so it takes a solid 25 minutes after ordering.

Another good chicken place is Crabby Jack's. They are out in the suburbs on Jefferson Highway.

Ping me before you go to NOLA. I've got a list of restaurants I'll send you. All vetted of course...
