I am not going to lie, this one made me drool a bit! LOL I love the detail of these pictures. I never been one to take pictures of food but I can see why people enjoy doing it!

Trivial for some, but: my second (and already much tastier) potatoe gratin - a typical Swiss dish, though maybe stolen from the French :)

I believe you are correct, as well - this dish is (or was) originally French - and the French call it un gratin dauphinois.
