Description:
This is one of those film era zoom lenses that lives up to the legend, and performs well on today's digital cameras. Two-touch zoom/focusing. "A" function aperture ring for program exposure. Macro mode at all zoom settings. If you're going to own a Pentax zoom, either on a Pentax body or adapted to mirrorless, this should be the one.
I would put the condition between "Good" and "Very Good." There are some signs of use on the body and caps, but nothing that suggests abuse. Focusing is smooth. Zoom action is firm, but I think that may be the nature of this lens. I only notice this when turning the ring when not on a camera.
There is some internal dust, as would be expected for any lens this age, but nothing that would affect image quality. Coatings are good. There is a small mark on the front element that you have to get the light just right to see; I was not able to photograph this. Again, I think no impact on IQ. No indication of separation, coating loss or fungus. Aperture is dry and snappy. Very slight evidence of use on the mounting surface. Includes genuine Pentax front and rear lens caps.
Plenty of life left in this beautifully made lens.
