Conditions weren't exactly conducive to photography today. I know many further west and north had it far worse than this, but -27F wind chill is still flippin' freezing.

Still, I saw the frozen mist rising off the river by the city and had to stop to take a quick shot. I sprinted from my car, took about 5 shots and sprinted back. Way too cold to be out for much longer than that. Fuji X-E2 with 35mm f/1.4 @ f/8:

It was definitely cold here in Ohio. Our pipes froze and we had one burst causing a deluge in my daughter's nursery once it warmed up enough for the water to start flowing again. Luckily there wasn't too much permanent damage. That photo of the city is pretty representative of how things felt around here the past couple days.

for those from warm climates let me say something about the photo to really drive the point home about how cold it is.

Q : When do we usually see something releasing steam?
A : when it is HOT....... That river (that is starting to freeze) is actually HOT relative to the air. Yup......it's THAT cold.
