Yup, I'm trying to avoid looking at the 90/2 Showcase for exactly that reason!Man, I hate this thread. Where's my checkbook.
Andy I bought a 90 out of the blue when a mint copy became available for 650. I have started to sell it numerous times but like my 16, when I need it I need it. I would be tempted to trade the 90 for a 56 even though in my eyes the 90 is a very capable portrait lens and is a razor. Absolutely the sharpest lens in my bag.Yup, I'm trying to avoid looking at the 90/2 Showcase for exactly that reason!
That's one of the reasons I will hold onto the 90. That and now with the XT20 I can crop it very hard and get away with it if needed. If it had IS it would be perfect. I've passed on the XT2 in favor of a future body with IBIS for this reason. If Fuji ever does a version 2 of this lens with weather sealing, I would have to give that serious consideration.
I was out and about yesterday and the start of the day was rainy, so I restricted myself to the 16/1.4 because it has weather sealing and only broke out the 56/1.2 later in the day once things had dried up a bit.If Fuji ever does a version 2 of this lens with weather sealing, I would have to give that serious consideration.
It is definitely a banging lens and a hole in your arsenal of lenses you would do well to fill, if the funds permit, were it me I would make the funds permit, sell your mother-in-law.The one at middle front is my daughter so I guess that's close enough Mike. Seriously this is the only hole in my primes left to fill and for some reason I keep getting side tracked.
