After discontinuing the X100V, and limited supply over the past year, Fuji is set to announce the X100VI on Feb 20th.

So far, per FujiRumors, we now know of two new spec changes:

  • 40mp X-Trans V
  • IBIS

Will be interesting to see what else changes. Apparently it will have the same lens as the X100V.

Expect it will do very well and hopefully Fuji can meet demand.

I hope the addition of IBIS won’t make the camera any larger. And any improvement to AF is welcomed. But if the 40mp sensor is going into the X100 series, they would have to put a lot more processing horsepower in as well.

I still have an an X100V. I wonder if I’ll have reason to consider trading up.

I would think the new NP-W235 would be a necessity with the implementation of IBIS and more processing power requirement. I can't see it not being thicker at least. Having said that, from my experience owning several X100 models a little added "thickness" would make it a little easier to hold onto. I'd hate to see it grow in width or height, however.

I agree, but the 235 is bigger. I’ll be curious how they jam everything inside. Of course, despite the new sensor and processor, IBIS, probably battery, and inflation, some will
complain when the price goes up. I think the rumored $200 usd increase would be reasonable.

My X100T went on the blink so I'd be interested in a replacement...but perhaps more in an X-Pro4, especially if it comes with a higher-quality EVF. Cheers, OtL

Is hi-res hand shooting supported?
I looked and I see no mention of this anywhere. Doesn’t mean it’s not there, of course. Edit: I also just noticed that it has a single UHS I card slot. One slot is understandable but it needs to be UHS II. I know that a lot of potential buyers won’t be spraying and praying but those 40 mp sensor files are a lot bigger and will really slow that camera up if you use any 10 fps mechanical shutter burst, never mind the ES. I’m just surprised that they didn’t put a better slot in an expensive camera with a hi rez sensor. It seems like a weird place to cheap out.
