The choice to purchase for this lens become ever easier after viewing the photos.

I'm not big fan of zoom lenses but I wouldn't give away this one from my bag. It complements very well holy trinity primes, 23-35-56. IMHO, excellent value for money (as I think all XF lenses are which I've used)

WoW! Has it really been over a year since anyone has posted pictures using their 55-200mm Fujinon lens? I have 5 of their lenses but by far the 55-200 is my favorite. I use it for any situation where I can carry my bigger camera bag with me. I use it for close-up macro like shots. I use it for portraits. I use it for animal shots I post on my National Geographic website. It's versatile, tack sharp and lightweight, especially when you hold it up against the Nikon 24-70mm behemoth I used to drag around.

I took the shot I've posted below October 24, 2014 during a routine visit to the Portland, Oregon Zoo. The skies were overcast, providing ideal diffused lighting conditions. I took this shot at F/8, 1/320" at ISO 3200 handheld.
