Fuji Showcase Fujifilm XF10 - A place to share your photos

A wet, overcast day in Portland, Oregon. An old stone statue of a sleeping cat which seems to have become part of the landscape. Taken using the Classic Chrome simulation.

Trying out the flash on my XF10 on an overcast grayish day. Its effects seem surprisingly unintrusive.

Looks very nice! I always thought that the "snap focus" mode on the XF10 was a little dinky in comparison to the GR (with only f5.6 and f8 for a couple of distances), but I just thought of the fact that the camera has a flash. Do the zone focus modes work with flash? If so, that's actually pretty compelling.

Good question, Andrew. Thanks for asking it.
Confession: I haven't actually used the snap focus mode with the flash yet (have only used it in outdoors daylight lighting conditions) - but I'm going to have to try and experiment with it, and if the results are decent or interesting, I'll post them.

Cross-posted from other threads, but three more reasons why the tiny XF10 is earning its carry-everywhere place in my pocket.
Taken with the camera's monochrome simulation setting, adjusted in LR to give it a slight sepia tone--

A close shot of a display in our local library (the quote is by Octavia Butler)--

A few more with the XF10, all of an ancient rusting non-operative Volvo, sitting by the side of the road.

Even dilapidated and rusting, there's something classic (to me) about the lines of older Volvos.
Here's the backside--

And another detail, the rear-view mirror--

All taken using the XF10's Classic Chrome simulation (slightly tweaked according to Ritchie Roesch's recipe)

Two shots with the in-camera Monochrome presets in the XF10.
First, my cat... napping. Taken with the Yellow filter.

This one was taken with the Red filter, to accentuate the contrasty skies (and then tweaked a bit in Lightroom, to accentuate things).

Using the internal Monochrome + Y (a digital Yellow filter) simulation.
A series of shots of my bicycle.

Lightly processed in both Lightroom (LR 6.14, the standalone version) and Nik, mainly to adjust and accentuate contrast.

The leather saddle is old... and comfortable.

I'm getting to be more and more of a fan of this little camera's monochrome capabilities.
