FYI - alcoholic beverages

Back in 1981, Canon registered their trade mark for use on alcoholic beverages (excluding wines). Generally speaking, Class 33 encompasses the vast majority of alcoholic drinks, except beer-type drinks which fall under Class 32.

Anybody ever tried a bottle of Canon gin? Canon vodka? Canon bourbon? Canon sake?

I'll have a Class 33, fancy kind, in a fake Canon lens mug to go (I think that's a bourbon and coffee).

For a company of their size, they may have filed for as many classes as they could get away with just to prevent somebody else from trying to use the name in a different non-photography field.
