For a change it didn't rain and I took my camera with me and took some pictures to get used to both the camera and the lens. I know I have a loooooooong way to go, but here are some shots. All OOC Jpegs, the 2 trees were cropped a bit.

PS: I really have the photography bug now that I have the G3, but already I have learned 2 thing about myself. I enjoy nature photography the best and I am also a zoom kind of guy.

Thanks for looking.

That is my favorite picture as well. Also the first one. I still don't know what I am doing on the streets as most of my pictures from the past are of landscapes.

Thank you.

I like very much your close-up, abstract compositions, although my favourite shot was the b&w looking down the row of trees.

Thanks very much. For now all my pictures are JPEG. I have no idea how to turn raw to jpeg in Sylkypix. But in 10 days I am starting another class and the teacher uses an Olympus camera (epl1 I think) and he was really excited that I had an M43 camera. He said he will show me how to use it before I should invest in LR.

All pretty nice compositions Thomas. Good colour too.

Thanks PapaDee! Before we moved to Oregon, we lived in Fairfax. Thai Cafe by JP is a great restaurant. I'll post more soon, although I haven't taken a GREAT shot yet. When we travel is when I get better pictures from nature.

Good eye. Really like your work. More please.

David
