A used film Barnack Leica and genuine native German Elmar lens should set you back less than 500 Euros. Forget all the more modern stuff, you won’t get more “Leica Look” than that in terms of gear and images.I think I'll settle for a picture of one. I almost lost my eyeballs looking at the prices . I probably can't even afford one that's broken
That's a shame. Not that they are particularly expensive these days should you want to replace it, the Argus C-3 cameras at least. In its day they were still worth a good chunk of monthly wages for an average family, yet cheaper than the Kodak 35.That was my first camera! My dad had bought it used when he was in college and then, years later, gave it to me when I was 10. My first outing with it was a trip to Yellowstone with my dad. I kept that camera on a shelf for years, everywhere I went. But my kids lost it a few years ago.
Rigid I-22 or Collapsible I-22? My Zorki came with a 1952 Rigid I-22 on it.I've got a proper contemporary KMZ Industar-22 lens on the way to mount on it. I'll keep the old FED-10 with my FED-NKVD camera (or just buy another one to mount it on )
