Tempting lens! How far does the lens extend at maximum?

With B+W filter and lens hood, at minimum is just over 3&1/8", at max is 3&5/8". The lens does extend/ retract with focus as well as zoom.

About the same view as the 21 at the widest, with the additional to take it into short tele range. Bonus - the lens is fully compatible with the HD DA 1.4x rear converter for a 28-56mm (42.5-85mm eq). I think it'll work well for me.

Updated Monochrome kit shot - providing the 20-40 fully checks out the next week or two, this'll likely be my setup for a while. edit - monochrome camera setup.

And the other stuff finally arrived this evening. Z50 kit is out of the box and battery on the charger. Already posted the first Z50 IIRC, this is the same.

I'm really looking forward to checking out the 24-120, it's the lens I wanted when the discounts were running but everyone was out of the kits and single lenses so I opted for the 24-70/4.

Test drive of a photo base I made from reclaimed Yellow Pine barnwood. Might be a bit much with the reclaimed barnwood backdrop. Might have to redo this with some White Pine barnwood I have floating about.
