Test drive of a photo base I made from reclaimed Yellow Pine barnwood. Might be a bit much with the reclaimed barnwood backdrop. Might have to redo this with some White Pine barnwood I have floating about.

How do you find the experience with these great lenses? I had the 35/3.5 back in the day and I'm ashamed to say I never really used it. Also the 24(?) looks fascinating. How do they do on digital?

They have good but not great resolution, but "rendering" is unique. I think they are at their best with CCD sensors, more so than film bodies.

I find the K-1 is pretty forgiving with vintage glass too. I've been contemplating the official Pentax M42 adapter for a while now.

Yes, definitely the OEM Pentax adapter. I've tried the Super Takumars on my K1. The files are great, but lack the "Magic(?)" of the CCD sensor.

I think I've gotten close with the contrast curve and saturation. The nice thing about the K-1 files is that they have so much information, you can do pretty much whatever you want with them. But I do value getting the look straight out of camera, without a lot of adjustments.

Couldn't get lighting right to get a good shot of the front element - cramped apartment space and minimal lighting stuff isn't helping.
