Gear Porn

Yeah, the problem is I have enough Leica and Contax cameras to mount all of these at the same time!

Another bit of gear porn, a custom messenger/camera bag made from recycled military canvas and nylon.

The coffee was almost drunk by the time my wife put my Olympus, which she was walking out, on the table. But I grabbed the picture nonetheless, with my Canon "workhorse." That Pen is nicer, especially with Olympus' own glasses but it feels a bit, eh, even shoddy. The rollers slide, the power switch fears to break when you fold the currents on or off. But the image stabilizer is good and the rear screen touch capture is convenient in many situations. And did I already say that it's pretty, with e.g. 17/1.8 mZuiko lens and aluminum lens hood.

I love Oly cameras and still miss my Pen-F for its compact size and beautiful design. IQ is good as well.

Question about the wrist strap - how does it function on the left side of the camera? I’ve seen that a couple times, but can’t wrap my head around how that works in practice. Is your wife left handed? That’s the only thing I can think of.

When using a wrist strap, I always keep it on the right/grip side, as I always hold the camera by that grip side.

🤣
You are not alone. I’ve asked the very same question and never understand the answer. My wife isn’t left-handed

I used to love that camera/ lens combo. The way you present it makes one want to grab it and go shooting, which I would do had I not sold them of course.

I love my silver Pen F so much that I picked up a black version during one of Oly's refurb sales. That's so I'll have a Pen F for a long time - even if my first one breaks. I'll keep both cameras and my compact f/1.8 Zuiko primes even if I get rid of all my other Oly gear - which is very likely happening.
