Gear Porn

It is nice camera, but be aware, it is leaking dust to sensor and not cleanable by home methods. My sample suffered from this and it helped me to put it back to circulation. I also wasn't fan of the focal length.
Yeah, many users gaffer tape over the mic and speaker holes to minimize the risk. Not sure it totally eliminates the dust issue, but appears to be a significant help.

One more piece of metaphoric PP or Pentax Porn: my two Pentax Q cameras together - my recently acquired original Q in the foreground, on the left, and my Q7 just behind it, on the right. My own version of a tiny camera family portrait---

And though I prefer the monochrome version, I am including a colour shot also, because I see-saw back and forth between the minimalism of black and white, and really liking the red 'SMC' letters on the lens---

Arrived yesterday. A 1943-dated Graflex 'Anniversary' Speed Graphic 4x5 with a 1945-date Kodak 127mm f/4.7 Ektar lens used by the US Army Signal Photo Companies in World War 2
The leaf shutter and lens are okay. Curtain of the focal plane shutter looks okay, but the shutter is a little sluggish.
In the photo the focus rail stops were loose, took a whole of 5 minutes to re-calibrate the focus and tighten the screws.
Rangefinder is spot on, a little dim maybe. Should clean up, otherwise it'll get a new beam-splitter.
