It seemed appropriate that after posting a picture of my old Olympus taken with my newer Fuji, that I reverse the process, and use the older one to render its newer stablemate.

Just "warming up" some focusing before I go out and use the camera, focus is on the Canon 50mm LTM F1.2, out of focus to the left is the Tele Elmarit 90mm and Elmarit-R 180mm to the right foreground. Shot with Tokina 100mm macro.

That Canon 1.2/50, yummy. Every now and then I scour a local auction site for a Nikkor 1.2/55, I remember that I was pleasantly surprised with it on my Nikon D200. But these seem to go for prices way beyond my comfort zone, expecting to be disappointed when I'm going to use it on the Sony A7R4.

I haven't checked current prices Ad but I do remember the Nikkor 55mm going for considerably less than it's 50mm AI-S staplemate?

Might be, but the 1.2/55 seems to go for around € 300 and I've seen 1.2/50's in the same range, although both are offerred seldomly so stats on prices are flaky at best.

BTW, I also owned the 1.2/50 but didn't really take to it on the Panasonic GH2; it was awesome from f/2, but wide-open the rendering was not to my taste. At that point in time I decided that the Minolta MC Rokkor 1.4/50 would do the job on f/2 equally well and I sold the Nikkor 1.2/50.

Yes, I’ve seen a lot of people saying the 50 is really good at F2.

I was taking pictures of my Pen F in preparation for listing it for sale, then I started to fall in love with it again, and then started taking sexy shots of it. Now I’m not sure what my plans are!

I should’ve never taken the case off it. It feels so good without it.
