Generalist or Specialist?

None of these youtubers stand out to me as exceptional photographers, maybe because they usually don't show their own work. I must say I only get inspired by truly excellent photographers and none of them are in that category as far as I'm concerned. That also means that I don't really care if they're specialist or generalist.

I don't follow any other photographers and only recognize a few names on that list, but most YouTube personalities, or "influencers" - no matter the genre - remind me of a quote I once saw about Paris Hilton: "She's famous for being famous.".

I know and that's how I think about some of them too, but there are a few on the list that aren't famous for their YouTube content.

So, are the most famous photographers mostly specialists?

In my opinion, no, but my favourite photographer Elia Locardi is clearly a specialist.
