Good post on Photog Forum Criticism...

thanks wt21 - that's been referenced before in these forums (https://www.photographerslounge.org/f14/technical-aspects-opinions-art-photographs-4198/index3.html) ... I expect some people find it funnier than others, but what it demonstrates beautifully is the paucity of restricting photographic criticism to blown highlights/blocked shadows/failure to observe rule of thirds/sharpness/focus/etc ...

... very nice that you bring it back to our attention in the week of retow's thread about responses to photographs ...

Paul, thanks for showing us that earlier thread where this was referenced.

Although I did chuckle a bit reading this article, I also found it to be a really good reminder of why it comes down to being true to oneself. Not saying that if I were in a conversation wherein someone did "constructively criticize" my pictures that I wouldn't listen and weigh what they had to say, but I firmly believe that the photographer as an artist has their own vision.
