Fuji Good Time to Buy a Fuji System - Discounts on Fuji X System Cameras and Lenses

Amin

Hall of Famer
Fuji is offering $200 off on X-E1 and X-Pro 1 bodies as well as stackable discounts giving $200-300 off each lens purchased with the body.

I paid $2,000 for my X-E1, 18-55, and 35 a few months ago. The same combo today will run you $1,500 (corrected, thanks Mikey).

Start with the B&H page for the X-E1 or X-Pro 1 and click on the link below "Buy Together and Save".

Sounds like something new is around the corner...

I'm still half tempted to pick up an X Pro though. I really liked the 35mm, just not the XE-1 I had it mounted on.

Likely that the X-Pro and X-E lines will both get updated. These are great prices for these lenses though. Every single one of them has a big discount.

So even if the plan were to get an X-Pro 2 and all the lenses, you'd save a barrel by getting an X-E1 plus all the lenses now, flipping the body, and waiting for the X-Pro 2 down the line...

Amin, don't you mean total of 1500usd if the 18-55 was purchased as a kit lens (1100usd plus 400usd for the 35/1.4) with the X-E1 OR 1600usd if the 3 were purchased separately (though why would someone do that?! ;) )

I recently purchased my current kit (X-E1 + 18-55, 35/1.4, and 14/2.8) for 2200usd from Cameraland in NYC. Thought I had gotten away with a killer deal -- turns out I just secured the deal 2 weeks before everyone else did. :p

The price of being an early adopter (sadly) Like you, I paid quite the premium for my OM-D and Olympus primes. Can't say I totally regretted it though. Can't imagine how many shots I would've missed if I waited around to buy my 75/1.8 until the prices dropped.

Oh, man... how am I going to pull off this deal? I can probably only purchase one camera in the roughly $1,000 range this summer/fall season. The Oly OM-D with kit 12-50mm zoom and the Ricoh GR with extra Ricoh battery and Ricoh external charger made up my short list. But it was an either-or thing. And now this.

Great deals!
but... I am not sure if I am happy with it.

I could have saved quite a sum of money by waiting and ordering via B+H. Ah well, that's the story of my life.

I'll repeat one of my favorite slogans all day now: statement "long after the price has been forgotten, the quality will be remembered"!

I am just kidding of course. I am still happy I bought the set. No waiting for a 55-200 deal!

Wow, what a find! :eek:mg:

i was considering the upcoming xf 24mm for street/everyday shooting, but really didn't want to use my x-mount body that way. i actually also wanted to pick up a second x-mount body so i could quickly shoot with two different xf lenses (as my travel gear). i'm excited for what's in store for the sexy-one successor. so, i just ordered the x100s as my daily driver for the streets.

(Sent from my EVO)

I ***might*** get some glass but the x100s has convinced me to wait for an "X-Pro1S" or "XE-2S" :)

I think you're onto something here. On one hand, I'd really like to pick up an X-E1 kit while the current promotion is going on. On the other hand, I suspect the X-E2 may be noticeably better. One thing to consider: the X-E1 is the newest of the first-generation X cameras. So it arguably requires to least amount of improvements.
