Or, if you have an extra metallic lens cap you don't use anymore, I'd love to buy that, too. I dropped mine in the street on vacation recently and it's all banged up now. I bought the plastic one off the Sony website, but it's not doing it for me.

I have the Fotodiox Hood on my RX1 which is fine. It doesn't "jiggle" at all.
I also use a nice black leather half case from Gariz which in my experience improves the handling of the RX1.
Would the Fotodiox grip be a further improvement?
I would then have to do away with my Gariz half case because it will no longer fit with the grip attached.

I like the fotodiox grip which helps a lot w/ handling w/ one hand. I don't have a half case so I don't know how the RX1+grip may go w/ that.
