After a week of looking at images from the EX1, LX-5 and XZ-1 I finally decided on the Olympus XZ-1 and I'm jolly glad I did. Olympus are giving more away on price for staff where i work so I managed to save £80 which I'm really chuffed about. I even treated the camera to a new 8gb card and carry case. The only thing that seems to be missing is the chord that saves you loosing the lens cap. Should this have been in the box?

Kettle is on, Battery is charging and the book of words is waiting to be read!(OK it's all on CD!!)

Edit:

OK, Taken a few shots and am impressed by how sharp this thing is!!! I love the 2 macro modes and it's a very easy camera to use. Very impressed so far!!

Thanks guy's :th_salute:

The cap strap is not in the box and is not shown on the box where it shows what's included. I have ordered a couple lens cap keepers so they will do for now until i get hold of our UK rep and kick is butt!!:026:

Lili has been singing the virtues of this camera for a long time and now there's another voice to add to the XZ1 chorus! Congratulations Andy! Those macro shots do look crystal clear - and the colors look wonderful, too.:dance3:

Andy,
You be talkin' 'bout that little cord that goes on the cap & strap?
I can mail you one... I never use them...
Don
Thanks for the thought Don Much appreciated. I have ordered a couple of those stick on ones so I should be OK. If I find that they are rubbish I'll let you know as I really don't want to loose the cap.

BB, I'll def be singing it's praises as it looks very good so far. It's a very versatile little beastie that is going to be fun to use. The B&W mode looks really nice and is cusomisable so I'll be having some fun with that!
