Attended a great 2 day intensive photo workshop led by Nat Geo photographer Michael Yama****a. Two days of pre-sunrise to post-sunset shooting and critiquing. Of the 16 participants, 6 were using mirrorless (including myself and my E-M5 and RX-10):two were using E-M1s, a husband and wife had their A7s and Rx 100 Mk III, and one other participant used a Panasonic GF-3. Mike Yama****a also shoots professionally with an A7R (he is apparently a spokesperson for Sony as well). All the rest had their heavy brace of Canon EOSs and NIkon D-series. The Oly guys got a lot of comments for how great our smaller gear looked, especially after we were trudging around for hours in the cold and rain with tripods and heavy (for the Canikon folks) lenses and bodies. Oh, and no plastic bags necessary for the OM-D crowd (and the RX-10) to keep the rain out.
