Met up with a few SeriousCompacts members for a NJ/PA meetup yesterday, and I shot the whole day with GH3 w/7-14mm, and the X100S. Thought I'd share some of my X100S shots here on FujiXSpot as well, and you can see the whole meetup photos thread here:

First, we had lunch at an Italian restaurant called Centro, where John (Entropic Remnants on SC and mu-43.com) generously bought everyone appetizers.

After lunch we went to Grounds For Sculpture for a photo walk. GFS is in Hamilton, NJ and if you live in the area definitely pay it a visit sometime and be sure to bring a camera. It's a sprawling place where half the art is sculptures themselves and the other half is the landscaping that surrounds them. Practically limitless subjects if you're creative
I used the X100S and GH3 side by side. The X100S's built-in ND filter was a huge help since it was a sunny day and mid-afternoon. I was able to shoot at any aperture right up to wide open without a problem, and shot in Aperture priority so all I had to do was dial exposure comp or use AEL to adjust exposure as needed.
As you can probably tell from the photos, I was having fun playing with flare with the X100S, it seems to fit really well with the film-like quality of the output and I like the way the lens responds to flare quite a bit as long as you can control the angles well. Most of these are essentially out of camera JPGs on Std/Provia, with minor tweaks in LR (clarity boost, sharpening, maybe a little vibrance or the like). I shoot everything RAW + JPG on the X100S and it's the only camera I use JPGs from.

Steve (Biro on SC) and John shooting a scene. What you can't see is John's cousin Sheila was behind me, getting a shot of me photographing them getting the shot

The rest of the crew for the day, minus John Flores since he had to leave after lunch unfortunately.

Finally it was time to head home. I met my wife for dinner and afterward I snapped just a few more on the way back to the house. This one I managed to capture in our local exotic greenhouse (*cough* Lowe's Garden Center):

And this field was on the way home - I *almost* drove past it but decided a minute later I couldn't pass such a great sunset up and pulled a U-turn so I could go back for a few shots.
