I love the square format, especially for portraits. The guillotine-like sound of the rear curtain never bothered me. I usually pre-release it on the 500CM, so only the leaf shutter is sounding during actual exposure, though I do that mostly to control vibration rather than to minimize sound. There is a quality to the rendering of Zeiss lenses for the Hasselblad that I have always loved. I don't claim top stop for them (or any other lens), just their own spot, which I happen to like a lot.

Very nice B&W shots. I have to say there is something special about Hasselblads. Here is one in color, Kodak Portra 400, shot with my 501c and 60mm.

Of all the cameras I own, I probably love my Blads best.

My wife bought me an SWC but I already had a 500c/m and a 503cx. The lenses are stellar. I don't think there's a better wide angle than the Biogon on my SWC. I also have 50mm CF, 60mm CB, 80mm CF and 120 Makro Planars.
