Micro 4/3 Hello Darkness my Old Friend

Not quite, the E-510 had a 10mp sensor. It was the second version of the Panasonic "Live MOS" sensors (the first being the 7.5mp unit found in the E-330 and L1). IIRC, the E-P1 had more DR than the E-510! The E-510 was the last model to come out before Olympus went through a brief phase of employing heavier AA-filters in their cameras.

The light AA filter is likely part of the reason I enjoy this camera so.
