Hello from China

swamiji

Regular
I am living in Chengdu, China and I am a Rangefinder photographer. Thus I shoot with Leica as its the only game in town. I was born in Los Angeles, but almost continuously travel. I spent some time in India and thus picked up several names. Most just call me Swamiji except here in china which they just call me 杰夫.

Hi Gary, Jeff is the way it's pronounced, but it means brother-in-law. So go figure.

In india I was given the name Swami Vittalananda Saraswati but so few can pronounce it, I don't worry about names any more.

What's life without a Swami explaining it along the way. Welcome.

My first teacher was from Bangalore, I have never been there myself. Most of my travels have been to the north (Varanasi, Kolkata, etc.)

Don't worry, I am not much of a Pundit. As expected, I do tend to be a bit old school, which provides a different take on modern photography.
