Manual Lens Highly Color Corrected Lenses: Apo-Chromatic, Ultra-Achromatic, and Beyond

I have a couple of APO lenses (Corrected for 3 wavelength crossings) and one Ultra-Achromat, corrected for 4 wavelength crossings.
The optical designers of these lenses put a great amount of work into the formulation of exotic glass, careful design, and precision construction.

First up- The Pentax 85mm F4.5 Ultra-Achromatic Takumar. There are 40 of these lenses reputed to survive today.

Given my color vision (marginal red/green to the point that while I am not officially color blind, the Army noped me out of the physical for the Warrant Officer Flight Program in late 1981.) such a highly corrected lens would be wasted on me. Some of the aesthetic choices I make in my photography is doubtless due to the difference in my color perception from the majority of people.

I probably should stick to black & white but fortunately I can see the beauty in these Thank you, Brian.
